Who We Are

We are a congregation of imperfect, yet redeemed souls called into fellowship by the God's grace. We seek in all that we do, and with all that we are, to faithfully follow our Lord, Savior, and King Jesus the Christ. Through the gifts of worship, teaching, fellowship, and service we are called to grow more and more in our relationship with God; and to be continually transformed by the work of the Spirit. Along with other congregations of the Presbyterian Church (USA) we believe:

"In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve… With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." From A Brief Statement of Faith of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.

Our knowledge of God and God’s purpose for humanity comes from the Bible, particularly what is revealed in the New Testament through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through God’s generous gift of love to us in Christ, we believe in the value of each person, the opportunity for forgiveness, and the possibility of restored relationships and renewed lives. Recipients of God’s grace, we also believe we are called to share that gift with others around us. All of us, lay persons and clergy, men and women, young and old, are called to be instruments of God’s grace in this world.

As part of the Reformed Tradition of the Christian faith, we also emphasize:

  • The sovereignty of God in all things;
  • The election of God’s people for service as well as salvation;
  • The emphasis of a life based on covenant relationships;
  • Faithful stewardship of all that God gives to us;
  • The call of God’s people to work for the transformation of society.
